About Ms. Goshorn.....

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia, where my parents and brother still live. I love to visit Virginia, but I also love living in Austin.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. I moved to Austin to attend graduate school at the University of Texas, where I earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.

After graduate school, I worked for five years as an engineer for National Instruments in Austin, TX. I designed many cool measurement
projects, my favorite being the NI ELVIS.

I loved working as an engineer, but I had a strong desire to work with young adults and give back to the community. I decided to become a teacher in 2004, and I love every minute of it.

Some of my favorite activities (other than teaching) are:
Running
Swimming
Cycling
remodelling my house
lounging at Barton Springs
eating Tex-Mex at Chuy's
